Office Depot Europe announces next steps of its Viking+ programme
Venlo, Netherlands – November 27, 2020 – Since announcing its Viking+ Programme in August, Office Depot Europe has made significant progress towards simplifying its organisational and IT infrastructure and refocusing its business around its existing e-commerce brand, Viking.
The Viking+ programme is evaluating everything from customer service and relationship & sales management to product assortment & business services, pricing, and logistics & delivery services.
The programme also involves migrating existing Office Depot Europe customers to the Viking e-commerce platform, which will be developed to deliver the requirements of those larger customers. Consolidating all its customers onto one, enhanced e-commerce platform will support Viking to provide a great customer journey and deliver on its mission to be the preferred supplier of workplace solutions, as set out last year in its 2025 Vision.
Office Depot presented the programme to its vendors on 19 November 2020 in its first ever virtual vendor conference. Group CEO Raffael Reinhold and Viking+ Lead Robert Baldrey introduced over 100 Office Depot and Viking vendors to the Viking+ programme, which outlines the services that the updated Viking platform will offer. The feedback from vendors was overwhelmingly positive, a testament to the company’s future direction.
